PROGRESS ON 2012 BOOKPLATE

As my students work away on their ink assignments I am stippling away on this year's bookplate.  I have a box of assorted sea shells on my desk and am building this piece much like a puzzle - I place a shell, draw it and then decided what shell goes beside it.  Unlike most pieces, this one is developing without an overall plan so it's a lot of fun.  I am throwing in a compass or two which makes this piece resemble last year's bookplate of clock faces.
